Apollo is Audrey's personal riding horse and the partial inspiration to experiment with out-crossing Peruvians. Apollo's Dam was a grade (non-gaited) palomino mare, Peaches n cream, Audrey's hacking around the farm horse. Sired by VALIENTE DPP a young Peruvian stallion we had at the time, who turned out to have a strong gait gene! Now 18, Apollo does have a nice saddle gait, but can really turn on a strong square trot when asked. The reason Apollo turns heads, aside from his golden good looks, are his size and conformation. He has spanish/ Peruvian qualities, but thickness of bone and size that he inherited from his momma. Apollo has a lot of termino (front leg action) that is obvious at any speed... Apollo is also quite the star, his nickname is "Hollywood" because he gets more attention than anyone else on the farm, for he demands it! Going on 11 yrs survivor of colic surgery, we would like to thank Washington State University's Veterinary Medical School again for saving his life! If not for the talented Dr.'s and staff at Pullman, we would have lost him and I would not have had another 9 great years with him - so far and more to come!
Audrey's " happy place"
Moon's Golden Cruiser 2008 Foxuvian Prince MoonBeam x Topazita DPP
The curious Lil'Beamer personality is fun!
He is a big bodied handsome boy, 15.1 and maybe more by the time he's done!
right before we weaned, he could barely reach momma's bag anyways!
day 1 getting used to those long legs!
Mr. Handsome dapples!!! got to love that Sooty Modifier gene...lol
Moon's Fire Tribute 2003 Our first Foxuvian Cross Prince MoonBeam x Luciernaga DPP
This photo is a few years old, he is deeper in the body now
He could be a calender model
Tribute is the first Foxuvian cross we made some 10 years ago, with one of our best Peruvian broodmares to Fox-Trotter Stallion Prince MoonBeam. This is now Alyson's personal riding gelding, and anyone who meets him agree's- this horse is one complete package. Some would say his only fault is size, but thats all a matter of preference. Aside from sheer beauty and charisma, Tribute really has it going on! Multi-gaited, very athletic, nimble on his feet and game to please! The trainer we sent him for starting undersaddle said he was the best horse to work with, very willing and engageing personality , plus he is a ton of fun to ride! We can't say enough good things about this horse! He could be sold for the right price, but lets just say it would take a pretty penny to get Alyson to let him go!
Hanging out , looking like he needs a good brushing! lol Even handsome horses like Tribute have bad hair days...
One of our new additions from last year , this is a barely 13.2 hand Blue Roan gelding Shadow out of a mare named Galleta Dura DPP whom was our breeding.
